What’s in your basket? @rochongardens

Here I am with another Community Agricultural Share basket update. We had so many delicious goodies this weekend that I was too busy meal planning that I forgot to share.

Check out these varieties of local salsa that were included as a special treat! I of course had to dig right into the cilantro salsa because I love “me a great salsa!”IMG_2196

I was able to use the eggs from our basket to prepare a Fritatata for great friends of ours, who just welcomed their second baby recently. I didn’t follow any recipe, but made good use of the vegetables that we received too!

Check out our amazing haul!

Yellow beans and fresh onions (and a snap of corn in behind).

Delicious kale, celery and broccoli !

I put the beets to good use as well this week, as I was able to prepare a Moroccan influenced salad (recipe compliments of a friend of mine!) and Borscht (first time ever!).

I also took advantage of the beautiful zucchini and prepared some delicious muffins and mini donuts. They were definitely a hit! (and certainly not healthy).

AMAZING! How many of you get your own CSA baskets?

The basics are always welcomed!

Although this week we missed our spring mix , carrots and tomatoes, we were able to stop by Rochon Gardens local stall at the Byword Market to stock up on the things that we were missing.
