The Thrill of Race Kit Pickup #TORW2015

What is the most exciting moments of the lead up to any race?

For me, it’s picking up my race kit. A chance to check out the other runners and local vendors. I love people watching and trying to figure out their stories. I am always struck by the mix of people, all ages, sizes and backgrounds. It amazes me and I can’t help but wonder “why do you run?”

I grabbed my loot bag, activated my bib and ran straight to one of my favourite vendors “Run Girl Run“. These local Ontario ladies from St Catherine’s design a women’s running apparel line that is not only comfortable but stylish. I had to replace my head band (one of the best for staying in place while running!) and decided to score one for my little girl who turned TWO today! She loved it.

Emy’s says “Run Girl Run”, and mine says “Run Like a Mother”

Good luck to my running friends this weekend! See you on the course! And if you haven’t checked it out please consider sponsoring me as I represent Kids in the Capital and the Cheo Foundation. Click here

The second most exciting thing? Having a cool running outfit makes you feel like a million bucks on race day! What are you wearing? I’ll be sporting a brand new running skirt from JWalkings Designs.

Have you heard about JWalking Designs?

They make earth-friendly, fit, functional and fashionable active apparel for women and men on-the-go.

Since every running mama needs a little black running skirt, I have been asked to review this sweet little piece during the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend. Stay tuned for my post race recap and review of this cute new edition to my workout wardrobe!
