If we were having coffee, I would ask you how the last month has been? Any new adventures or trips taken, goals accomplished or new ones set?
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I signed up for my first half marathon in September (check it out!)! I have mixed emotions! I am excited and super nervous. I keep asking myself “Will I be able to do this?” “Will I physically be ready?”
I know for running much of it is more mental than physical.
But the question is, will I be ready?
If we were having coffee, I would ask you if you have ever run in a 1/2 marathon or a long distance run? You may tell me “Yes” and if you do, I would ask you for tips and tricks to help with training over the next few months. What sorts of tricks worked for you? How can I stay motivated?
Just before we part ways for another month, if we were having coffee I would tell you to have a great week and to continue pushing hard towards your goals. Like what you would have told me when I asked about my 1/2 marathon, I would say you can do anything when you put your mind to it.
You are strong, motivating and a role model for many. Remember, to always do what you love!
