Become strong – mentally and physically!

Alright, so how can I expect to make an impact on other people’s lives if I myself don’t commit to doing so as well?

Remember, my motto “Lead by Example” (see my post on My Driving Force)

Okay, Iets back track a bit. As a family, we have made some pretty important lifestyle changes, not only to our diets, but also to the level of activity we undertake on a daily/weekly basis. Both my husband and I participate in group fitness classes or online training (yes, this is a real and effective means to train) at least 4-5 times a week. To some it might not seem like a lot.

But for us, we feel stronger the days, weeks we push each other to stick to our fitness routines. These are also the weeks that we feel truly at our best.

So here I am … today, in an effort to become strong inside and out, I making a commitment to the “world” that by early summer 2015 (May exactly) I should be a certified group fitness instructor with a specialization in pre/post natal fitness.

The real journey towards this starts tomorrow!!

DAY 1 – Basic theory! 

You might be thinking, why do I care or where’s she going with this story? Doesn’t she already have a job?

The answers are simple, you don’t need to care but your continue support and feedback play an important factor in keeping me in track! accountability is key.

Yes, I have a job, one that I love. If you recall from my post My Driving Force you will recall that I am doing this as my “something more”. Showing my daughter that it is healthy and possible to pursue new passions in addition to what you already love doing.

This journey is intended to make me stronger, both physically and mentally.


I want my journey to motivate others. I know it seems to be the new mommy thing to do these days. I think it is safe to say it’s a trend. But for me, this feels different. This whole area excites me, and I hope to be able to share my excitement for living a healthy life with those around me.

Oh and don’t worry I’ll be sharing updates as I complete the group training certification program and the apprenticeship hours in my online diary.

I have big plans for you and me!
